Beginning March 2008 Horse Lovers Central will showcase a breed every month. Initially we intend to select breeds which are rare and have small world populations. Our rationale is that we believe it is very important that the equine community be aware of these unique breeds and that it will be a valuable educational opportunity. We will announce the Breed of the Month on both the front page as well as this page, furthermore, historic "Breed of the Month" information will also be posted here. Prior to the announcement of any breed, we will attempt to reach out to that breeds registries, breeders, online communities, groups, etc., in an attempt to gather more information about the breed and to give others the opportunity to provide input.
